Print Sale for Relief + Matching Fund Alert
Renowned photographer Jonathan Mannion is offering a special print sale, with net proceeds donated to the AFJ’s Hurricane Melissa Disaster Relief Fund, which will be eligible for a 1:1 match from the AFJ.
The American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) recently announced a $1 million matching fund to amplify support for communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica:
“The Board of Directors of the American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) has announced the establishment of a $1 Million Matching Fund … This fund … will match dollar-for-dollar all donations made through the organization’s official donation channels.” (theafj.org)
Why this matters:
-
Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm, caused extensive damage, flooding and landslides across Jamaica, destroying homes, hospitals, churches and entire towns in some instances.
-
The matching fund means every dollar donated is doubled in impact.
-
By purchasing a Jonathan Mannion print, you not only acquire a remarkable work of art — you directly contribute to vital recovery efforts.
